Sunshine

Samarant x Rutienne (Rubinstein, Weltmeyer), 2007, 16.1hh, Bay, Oldenburg. Sunshine was bred by Werner Helmis in Diepholz, Germany. She descends from the same dam-line as the world- renowned stallion Lord Leatherdale. She was bought by us in Germany as a just-backed youngster. She proved to have superb temperament and rideability under saddle. However, we did not have space for her here and having been ridden for a few weeks she was turned away to mature. Still without the space and time to do her justice, she was loaned out as a broodmare. While on loan she produced a very high quality colt foal by Florencio in 2013. As Sunshine was not presented at a mare show in Germany, she was presented to Oldenburg during their tour in GB and was admitted to the 1st High Studbook. We put her in foal ourselves in 2013, and in 2014 she produced an absolutely fantastic chestnut colt by the 2012 Oldenburg Licensing Champion - Follow Me, which gained high praise from the Oldenburg inspection tour. Following an infection in 2015 she was put in foal again and produced a super filly foal, again by Follow Me in 2016. As a young mare with her super mare-line, she has the potential to produce many more great foals. She has a beautiful head and lovely large kind eye, and is very easy to put in foal.
